Center-state sponsored post-matric scholarship scheme was offered for minorities in the light of the post-matriculation scholarship presenting the under-private children proposed by the Prime Minister’s Office and briefly about the award / grant of post-matriculation state Would like to do Scholarship for minorities.

Post-Matric Scholarship For Minorities 2017

Unlike scholarship for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, certain number of scholarships for minorities are small and limited. Students from below-poverty line (BPL) families will be given preference in ascending order to be low income. Renewal applications will be completely exhausted before new applications will be considered.

The objective of the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme is to provide scholarships to students belonging to economically weaker sections of the minority community (EWS) in order to enable them to provide higher education, increase the rate of obtaining higher education and public and private in higher education Increase their job in the field

Announcement of plan

This plan will be announced by the respective State Government / Union Territory Administration from time to time using major language newspapers and local dailies / local language advertisements and other appropriate publicity media.

Eligibility Conditions

Scholarships will be awarded to those students who have secured minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade in last final examination and the annual income of their parents / guardians from all sources is not more than Rs.2,00 lakhs.

Scheme for post-matric scholarship for students belonging to minority communities

an objective:

Post-matriculation scholarship for post-matriculation scholarship for post-matriculation and postgraduate students for minorities, is to encourage higher courses at the doctoral level of Master of Philosophy / Philosophy.

This scheme will facilitate its academic achievement and will provide a level playing field in the competitive employment sector. Empowerment through education, which is one of the objectives of this scheme, is likely to be the upliftment of socio-economic conditions of minority communities.

Area:

Government or private high school / college / university is honored for studying in India, which includes transparently selected and notified qualified private institutions such as residential institutions of government and state government / Union Territory Administration . Worried These classes will also include technical and professional courses in the Industrial Training Institutions (ITIs) / Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Training Council (NCVT) at XI and XII levels.

*Hostellers include the Students who are not staying in the Hostel of the School / Institute concerned but are staying as Paying Guest (PG) or in the Rented Accommodation in the Towns / Cities, which are not the places where their Parents reside.

Distribution of scholarship:

Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi people have been notified as minority communities under section 2 (c) of the Minority Commission (NCMA), 1992. Distribution of scholarship in states / UTs will be done on the basis of the population of minorities in the states / Union Territories notified above.

Determination of Post-Matric Scholarship for Girl Student:

30% of the scholarship for the female student will be determined if a sufficient number of eligible girl students is not available; The scholarship can be provided to the remaining students.

Scholarship period:

Scholarships will be provided for the entire course. However, maintenance allowance will be given for a period exceeding 10 months in only one academic year.

Renewal of scholarship:

Scholarship, once awarded, can be renewed during the course of the next academic year during the production of the certificate that the student has received minimum 50% marks.

PMSS Scholarship for Minorities 2017 application form

The concerned State Government / Union Territory Administration will supply the application form, unless computerized systems are operated by the State Governments / Union Territory Administration. The application form should be returned with the requisite certificates / certificates within the prescribed period.

Conditions For Scholarship:

  1. The Scholarship will be awarded to the Students who have secured not less than 50% Marks or Equivalent Grade in the Previous Final Examination and the Annual Income of their Parents / Guardians from all Sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 Lac. Unlike Scholarship for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, there are a fixed number of the Scholarships for Minorities and, hence, Preference for Selection has been laid down. The Students from Below Poverty Line (BPL) Families, having the Lowest Income shall be given Preference in the Ascending Order. The Renewal Applications would be fully exhausted before new Applications are considered.
  2. Award of Scholarships shall be discontinued if any Student fails to secure Minimum 50% Marks or Equivalent Grade in the Previous Final Examination. The Scholarship will not be awarded for more than the normal period of time taken to obtain Certificate / Degree / M.Phil Degree / Doctorate Degree.
  3. The Scholarships will not be given to more than Two Students in a Family.
  4. The Students should be Regular in Attendance for which the Yardstick would be decided by the Competent Authority of the School / College / University.
  5. Migration of the Students from one Institution to another would not normally be allowed during the Course of the Academic Year except under exceptional circumstances and in the interest of the Student’s Academic Career.
  6. If any Student violates any other Terms & Conditions of the Scholarship, then the Scholarship may be suspended or cancelled. The State Government / Union Territory Administration might also directly cancel Award of Scholarship if duly satisfied of the reasons of violation of these Regulations governing the Scholarship Scheme.
  7. If any Student is found to have obtained a Scholarship by way of False Statement / Certificates, then his / her Scholarship shall be forthwith cancelled and the Amount of the Scholarship paid would be recovered / forfeited, at the discretion of the State Government / Union Territory Administration concerned.
  8. Course Fee / Tuition Fee and Maintenance Allowance will be credited directly to the Student’s Bank Account.
  9. The State Government / Union Territory Administration will maintain a separate Account and Records relating to the Funds received from the Ministry and they will be subjected to Inspection by the Officers of the Ministry or any other Competent Agency designated by the Ministry.
  10. The Student obtaining benefits under this Scholarship Scheme shall not be allowed to avail of the Benefits under any other Scholarship Scheme implemented by the State Government / Union Territory Administration, for the same purpose.
  11. The State Government / Union Territory Administration shall constitute a Committee of the Departments implementing such Scholarship Schemes to ensure that the Students from the Minority Community, who may also belong to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Classes Category, does not avail of the Scholarship from other Sources for the same purpose and avail only from one Source.
  12. The Fund for distribution of the Scholarships in the subsequent Years will be released after receiving the Utilization Certificate for the Previous Year.
  13. The Scheme would be evaluated at regular intervals by the Ministry or any other Competent Agency designated by the Ministry and the cost of the Evaluation Study will be borne by the Ministry under the Provision of the Scholarship Scheme.
  14. The State / Union Territory concerned shall place all the relevant Details of Financial and Physical Achievements on their Website.
  15. The Regulations can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Government of India.
  16. The State Government / Union Territory Administration concerned will be responsible for processing and scrutinizing the Applications submitted by the Students (as per the Work Flow opted) and send the proposal of the Eligible Students Online to the Ministry for Sanction of the Scholarships as per Timelines.

Procedure For Applying:

(i) The Scholarship Scheme is implemented through a National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It is mandatory for all students to apply Online on the Website of this Ministry.

(ii) The List of the Documents to be scanned & uploaded for both Fresh and Renewal Scholarships as under:

  1. Student Photo (Mandatory).
  2. Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory).
  3. Self-Declaration of Income Certificate by the Student. (Mandatory).
  4. Self-Declaration of Community by the Student. (Mandatory).
  5. In case of Fresh Case: Self-Attested Certificate of ‘Previous Academic Mark Sheet’ as filled in Form. (Mandatory).
  6. In case of Renewal Case: Self-Attested Certificate of the Previous Year Mark Sheet as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
  7. Fee Receipt of the Current Course Year. (Mandatory).
  8. Proof of Bank Account in the Name of the Student. (Mandatory).
  9. Aadhaar Card (Optional).
  10. Residential Certificate. (Mandatory).
