GPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Expected Cut Off 2017
The Gujarat Public Service Commission will declare the community-wise minimum qualifying marks / minimum percentage points, declaring results for the OMR based written examination (carrying maximum 200 marks) held on 26.03.2017. In order to be eligible for ‘Short nominated’ and Personal Interview, candidates must have minimum qualifying marks in adequate numbers in each paper and total. The Gujarat Public Service Commission only calls candidates for individual candidates who may have secured minimum qualification marks or higher marks in each test.
Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination for selection of posts of Automotive Inspector-7. Optical Mark Recognition Written Examination consists of two types of question papers, including objective-type multiple choice questions.
Paper 1 will be conducted either in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering, which will include 200 multiple choice questions of maximum 200 points, for a period of 2 hours / 120 minutes. Two parts in Paper-II will be included in the questions of objective-type Multiple Choice, with a 60-minute period. Part A will be of 50 marks in Gujarati language and Part-B will be in the English language, which will be 50 marks. Each part will include 50 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective type, which will be in Question Paper II in each Paper 01 (One) Marks.
Candidates must give an option in the application for mechanical engineering or automobile engineering subject.
Optical Mark validation based written examination will be English without excluding Part-B of Question-II of the optical mark validation based written examination.
Interview test will be of 25 points.
Using the appropriate scaling formula, the result of question paper-1 will be prepared.
The Commission will declare a temporary result for written examination based on optical mark recognition.
The number of classed candidates will be considered for interview for three times advertised positions. Candidates who are successful in the written examination based on optical mark recognition will have to submit the required copy of their application within 07 days from the announcement of the temporary results to the Commission.
Procedure for Selection:
The process for selection includes optical mark recognition based written exams and personal interviews with a maximum of 25 points.
Criteria for Selection
According to the final selection list prepared in both optical mark recognition based written examination and sufficiently high marks / maximum marks in the personal interview, the result will be selected for selection of 50 posts of automotive inspector.
