I would like to know about the office of Registrar Notification and briefly summarize the following paragraphs. Check the Delhi Notification University for LLB / LL.M Entrance Examination 2017.

DU LLB LLM Admissions Application Form 2017

The Office of the Registrar will enter the notification / LL.M entrance examination for admission in notification in April 2017. I) Bachelor of Law (LLB), II) Master of Laws (LL.M) Program for Academic Session 2017 – 2019; Therefore, online registration will begin.

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)Eligibility for Admission: 

(i) The Eligibility Criteria for General, Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Candidates is as given in the Ordinance.

The Eligibility Criteria* for admission into LL.B. Degree Course is as follows:

(i) For General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates, Graduate / Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as Equivalent by the University of Delhi with Minimum 50% Marks or an Equivalent Grade Point in Aggregate in either of them. However, the Cut-off Marks for admission of OBC Candidates shall be up to 10% less than the Marks notified for the General Candidates in the Delhi University LL.B. / LL.M. Entrance Test.

(ii) Relaxation of 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates will be allowed to Other Backward Classes (OBC) Category. (In compliance of the Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in P.V. Indiresan Vs. Union of India and Others).

(iii) Relaxation of 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates shall be allowed to Widows / Wards of the Defence Personnel (CW) Category.

(iv) Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates would be allowed in respect of the Candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) / Physically Handicapped (PH) Category on the Recommendations of the Medical Board as per the prescribed Procedure.

Strictly in order of Merit prepared on the basis of the Candidates’ respective Performance and Marks in the Entrance Test and Counseling.
Master of Laws (LL.M.)Eligibility for Admission:(i) The Eligibility Criteria for General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Candidates is as given in the DU Ordinance.

The Eligibility Criteria* for admission into Master of Laws (LL.M.) (Two-Years / Three-Years’) Degree Course shall be as follows:

(i) For General Category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates, a Three-Years’ / Five-Years’ Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as Equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% Marks or an Equivalent Grade Point in Aggregate. However, the Cut-off Marks for admission of the OBC Candidates shall be up to 10% less than the Marks notified for the General Category Candidates in the Entrance Test.

(ii) The Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) having a Three Years’ / Five-Years’ LL.B. Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as Equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% Marks or an Equivalent Grade Point in Aggregate in either of them.

(iii) Relaxation of 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for General Category Candidates will be allowed for the Widows / Wards of Ex-Servicemen / Serving Personnel (CW) Category.

(iv) Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Category Candidates will be allowed to the Candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) Physically Handicapped (PH) Category on the recommendations of the Medical Board as per the prescribed Procedure.

(ii) Relaxation of 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates will be allowed to Other Backward Classes (OBC) Category. (In compliance with the Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in P.V. Indiresan Vs. Union of India and Others).

(iii) Relaxation of 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Candidates will be allowed for the  Widows / Wards of Defence Personnel (CW) Category.

(iv) Relaxation of up to 5% Marks in the Minimum Eligibility prescribed for the General Category Candidates would be allowed for the Candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) Physically Handicapped (PH) Category on the recommendations of the Medical Board (MB) as per the prescribed procedure.

*The OBC Candidates shall be given a relaxation in the Minimum Eligibility in the Qualifying Examination and in the Minimum Eligibility (if any) in the Admission Entrance Test to the extent of 10% of the Minimum Eligibility Marks prescribed for the General Category Candidates. For example, if the Minimum Eligibility for the Candidates for admission into a Course is 50% for the General Category Candidates, the Minimum Eligibility for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) would be 45% Marks, i.e., (50% Marks, less 10% of 50% Marks).

It is reiterated that the Other Backward Classes Candidates who belong to the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ and whose Castes appear in the Central List of the OBC Scroll / List only shall be considered Eligible for Admission under the OBC Category.

The Controller of Examinations will declare both dates for the UOD LLL. / LL.M. In addition to downloading Entrance Examination 2017 and E-admission / Hall Tickets, minimum one week can be started before starting the entrance exam.

The Office of the Controller of Examinations, Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws will declare both results and merit lists for entry; And the counciling schedule is likely to be notified June-end 2017
