DU e-Admit Cards for B.Ed. ~ B.El.Ed Entrance Test 2017

After examining the applications received from the Central Education Institute, applicants will be present in the first one week of the Bachelor of Education Entrance Examination 2017 and the admission test for the primary education undergraduate (special education) and Bachelor of Elementary Education candidates in May 2017. Procedure for Selection

Education Faculty, Central Institute of Education, Delhi University (FOE, CIE, UD) will prepare merit list on the basis of the Bachelor of Education Entrance Examination (BEE) 2017. The faculty department will select candidates on the basis of their respective performance in the Bachelor of Education Admission Test 2017, based on their rank, in their respective category and subject category merit list. The Department of Education, Central Institute of Education, will prepare a list of candidates in the merit order, based on their performance in the entrance exam and their choice of institutions during consultation.

In case of any TIE, the old candidate will rank higher in age.

The Central Institute of Education will host the entrance examination in June 2017. The Central Institute of Education will announce the results for the entrance examination by mid-June 2016. The first consultation-cum-merit list, after two consecutive consultation-merit lists within 03 days of declaration of merit list-cum-counseling lists.

Procedure For Counseling And Admission:

Performance of the list for consultation on the basis of individual performance of the candidate in the Bachelor of Education entrance examination / BEd. Based on their respective rank in admission category (BET), their respective category and subject category merit list, candidates will be called for consultation in the Central Institute of Education (CIE).
The display of the candidate’s name in the consultation list does not indicate the final selection for admission. All candidates will be in the order of merit list merit for general category seats.

Anyone will be excluded from the same. In other words, if they come in General Merit, then candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes will be included.

A list of selected candidates will be prepared strictly on merit basis, based on their choice for institutions during their respective performance and consultation in the entrance examination.

In case of ‘TIE’, old candidate will rank higher in age.

Candidates should mention the schedule for BEd admission given in the prospectus and should log in / login to the Central Institute of Education website for regular updates.

Counseling Session:

The Candidates shortlisted for the Counseling Session must remain present at the Stipulated Date and time, along with the following Documents / Certificates, etc.

  1. Photo Identity Proof
  2. Print out of the Application Form
  3. Admit Card of Entrance Test
  4. Two Photographs
  5. Original and Two Sets of Photocopies of the relevant Documents as mentioned in Table 4 on Page 16.

The Candidates will be called upon Merit-wise to make choice of Institution as per the Seats available, Category and Subject-wise.

Male Candidates will have only Two Institutions as Choice of Institution (CIE & MVCE), whereas Female Candidates may choose any of the Four institutions, depending on availability of the Seats in the respective Subjects and Categories.

Admission Formalities:

Candidates, who have been examined through counseling, must complete the admission related formalities within the stipulated period in the concerned institutions allocated during the counciling. If they fail to do so, the proposal will be withdrawn and during the next consultation the seats will be allocated to the next candidates in the merit list.

They will be automatically canceled without any further notice.

Once allocated, no request will be made for change in the Institution.

Candidates who are waiting for their expectations should also report for consultation at scheduled time.

Those candidates who do not have their results in the qualification degree will not be allowed for temporary admission. However, they will be considered for admission in the following entry list:

  1. The Candidates report for Counseling on the Date(s) mentioned when their respective Names appear in the Merit List(s).
  2. The Seats are available in the particular Subject Category when the Candidate Reports with the Result.

Allotment of Candidates to different Institutions:

The faculty of the Education Counseling Committee will consult on the prescribed dates of the entry cycle.

On the basis of separate prepared merit lists for each subject category and reserved category, consultation will be organized in the education department. According to the availability of the vacancies, the education department will call the candidates strictly according to merit / merit for the choice of the institute.

In Male candidates, there will be only two institutes (CIE and MVCE) in the form of an institution’s choice, while women candidates can choose any institution based on the availability of vacancies.

Admission Formalities:

The selected candidates must complete the admission compliance within the stipulated period. Failure to comply, the Education Department will withdraw the proposal to the unsuccessful candidate and during the consultation the next candidate in the merit list will be allocated to the candidate, so that his selection will be canceled without further notice. Once allotted, and the Central Institute of Education, will not consider the request of the candidates selected for the change of the institute.

Candidates should take all relevant documents with them as specified on the entry portal. These include the following documents, in which their own evidence is original with two groups of photocopies

  1. Class X Board Examination Certificate
  2. Class X Marks-Sheet
  3. Class XII Marks-Sheet
  4. Class XII Original Certificate
  5. Provisional Certificate and Marks-Sheet of the Qualifying Examination
  6. Character Certificate (recent, Six Months)
  7. SC/ST/PwDs/CW Certificate (in the Name of the Candidate) issued by the Competent Authority
  8. Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Candidate) issued by Competent Authority
  9. In case the OBC Certificate is older than 1st April 2015, then a proof for the Non Creamy Layer Status.
  10. Migration Certificate: Required for those Students who have passed the Qualifying Examination from outside Delhi University
  11. At least Two Passport Size Self-Attested Photographs.
